Trauma-Informed Sexual Violence Prevention Education - Part 2
This second session will be one and a half-hour presentation and Q&A.
The intended audience is those who are engaging in sexual violence prevention education initiatives.
The learning objectives over both sessions are:
-Understand the importance of creating safe learning environments using facilitation, co-facilitation, communication skills
-Understand the importance of recognising different emotional states in a group setting and manage them to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants
-Understand what participatory teaching methods mean and why is it important for sexual violence prevention
-Develop a sensitivity to the complexities of power, authority and privilege within the context of Aotearoa New Zealand
